BLACKWOOD, NJ – Former Rowan University men's soccer player and current assistant coach Justin Abbey was inducted into the South Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 28. The ceremony was held at the Valleybrook Country Club.
 Abbey was a standout player for the Profs from 1993-95 and 1997. During that time, he scored 34 goals, dished 45 assists for a total of 136 points. He holds the top spot in the record book in assists and is ranked third in points. Abbey was an All-Conference first team selection his sophomore and junior seasons and received All-Conference second team his senior year. In 1994, he garnered All-Region honorable mention accolades. He is in his sixth season as the assistant coach for the men's soccer program.
 After Rowan, Abbey was drafted by the Baltimore Blast and played professionally for the Delaware Wizards.
 A product of St. Augustine Prep, he was a three-time All-Cape Atlantic first team selection and earned four varsity letters. He finished his high school career with 99 goals and 132 assists and was a two-time State Champion. He was an All-South Jersey selection three times including first team his senior season.
 The Hall of Fame Class of 2019 also included players Johanna Cline (Vineland High School), Dennis Ludwig (Lenape High School), Lee Palo (Haddonfield High School), Cheryl Zekas (Sterling High School), coaches Dominick Castaldo (Bordentown High School) and Kevin Meder (Lenape High School) and contributor Rich Papperman (Perry Hall High School).
